“가든”이라는 컨셉은 House of Collections(HoC)가 계속 가지고 오고 있는 주제이다.  Africa GARDEN이라는 제목을 정하게 된 이유는 g.gallery 전시가 11월~12월에 걸쳐 진행되기 때문에, 카페트가 가지는 포근함을 전달함과 동시에 따스함을 줄 수 있는 주제를 찾다 아프리카를 생각하게 되었다.  아프리카 가든은 어떠한 모습일까하는 궁금증도 있었다. 아프리카 사람들은 자연 자체를 하나의 가든으로 생각하며 살고 있지 않을까 하는 생각을 바탕으로 아이디어를 구상하였다.
메인 작업인 Garden in Africa는 주제를 가장 잘 함축하고 있고, 시간과 공이 많이 들어간 작업이다.  밑 바탕은 viscos라는 실을 이용해 Hand-tufted방식으로 제작 되었다. 카페트위 작업되어진 장식들도 하나하나 손수 만드었다. 실과 악세서리로 페인팅을 한 작품이다. 
HoC는 카페트라는 소재로 다양한 시도를 해나가고 있다. 카페트라는 특성상 작품으로도 보여질수 있고 상품으로도 보여질 수 있는데 그 경계지점은 공간의 특성, 디스플레이 방식 혹은 카페트에 가진 고정관념에 따라 다르게 인식 될 수 있다고 생각한다.같은 작품이라도 설치되는 환경에 따라 작품이 다르게 읽히기도 한다.  그래서 이번 작품은 작품의 주제에 맞게 설치하였다. Still Flows의 이미지는 아프리카의 뜨거운 태양이 내리쬐는 땅 위에 존재하는 생물과 동물등을 위에서 내려보는 시점으로 그림자를 강조하여 표현되었는데 컨셉이 잘 전달되도록 바닥에 설치 했어요. Garden in Africa 는 초원의 광활함을 표현하고자 관객의 시야에 꽉차게 카페트의 사이즈를 정하였고, 벽에 설치하여 초원을 멀리 바라보는 느낌을 전달하고자 하였다.
메인 작품을 제외한 카페트 2점(Botanic Garden, Still Flows)은 You & us Carpet와 콜라보하여 제작되었다.

"Garden" is a theme that the House of Collections (HoC) continues to bring. Africa GARDEN is the reason why we decided on the theme that the exhibition of g.gallery is held from November to December, so we will convey the cozy of the carpet and look for a subject that can give warmth. We were curious to see what kind of an African garden would look like. Maybe the people of Africa think about nature itself as a garden. The main artwork "Garden in Africa", has the best implications of the subject, and it took a lot of time and work to create. The lower base was made in a hand-tufted style using a thread called viscos. The decorations on the carpets were handmade one by one. It is the artwork which painted with the thread and the accessory.
HoC has been making various attempts with carpet as material. Because of the nature of carpet, it can be seen as a artwork, and it can be seen as a product. I think that the boundary point can be perceived differently according to the stereotype of space, display method or carpet. Works are read differently. So, this artwork was installed according to the main theme. The image of Still Flows is expressed by highlighting shadows from the point of view of the creatures and animals on the ground that the hot sun of Africa is descending from above, and it is installed on the floor to convey the concept well. In order to express the vastness of the meadow, Garden in Africa set the size of the carpet in full view of the audience and installed on the wall to convey the feeling of gazing far away from the grassland. The two carpets (Botanic Garden, Still Flows) except for the main artworks were made in collaboration with You & us Carpet.
